Neil Herbert
Originally from Cambridge in the UK, Bistro Felix’s new executive head chef Neil Herbert, started his cooking career as a chef patisserie at confissere Schweitzer’s under the guidance of Austrian master chef Hans Schweitzer.

After a further four years at Magdalene college in Cambridge as a apprentice chef Neil worked is way up to his first head chef position at Number 9 Park Lane before moving onto two Michelin star restaurant Midsummer House and then onto the award winning restaurant 24 as executive head chef.

Neil moved with his young family to Australia in 2006 and took up the role as head chef at the iconic cricket ground for a number of years before going back to Europe to rediscover his passion for cooking.

Neil gains his inspiration by the variety and quality of the local produce and seafood throughout Western Australia. His classic training and genuine desire to please translates into a modern European cuisine that is refined yet approachable.
